Granny Flat Design: ‘The Queanbeyan’

We built this 2-bedroom Granny Flat for a lovely couple of investors who reside in Sydney.
This floor plan is our ever-popular Queanbeyan design with a carport/alfresco area attached off the side. This granny flat was built on bearers and joists to meet local council flood requirements.
Given the attention to detail, rear lane access, automatic sliding gate, driveway from rear lane to carport/alfresco area, and how this project has been finished, we anticipated this Granny Flat would get a rental return of $450 – $470 per week. The client advised they rented out the granny flat with only one ‘open house’ by private appointment and had several parties interested; the tenants moved in within days and are paying $490 per week!
